The Vegan Kind Beauty Box 4

August not only saw the delivery of The Vegan Kind lifestyle box TVK22 but also the quarterly Beauty Box! I absolutely love receiving two TVK boxes in one month and it does feel like all your Christmases have come at once!

In this months TVK Beauty Box we were fortunate enough to receive the following goodies:

Dr Organic Dead Sea Mineral Mud Mask - I gave this face mask a little try out straight away and really enjoyed it. I love the mud like consistency of it and once applied I feel as though I could really feel it working away as it tingled my skin. After washing it off in the shower my skin felt so soft! However, following this trial run I did have a small outbreak of a couple of spots but I guess this means it's doing its job right!? I'm already looking forward to having another little pamper session and using it again.

Faith in Nature 3 in 1 Facial Wipes - I love receiving things like facial wipes because they are just so handy to have and there's rarely anything you can dislike about them. Faith in Nature also happens to be one of my favourite Vegan & cruelty free brands so I was smiling ear to ear to see them included in this box. To be honest I do avoid using wipes as my main make up remover as I have heard they can really dry out your skin. That being said there are some days where I do just need a wipe and they're especially great when travelling so these will be accompanying me on my holiday in a few weeks.

B. is for Beautiful All Lengthening Defining Volumising Black Mascara - I've had a slight love hate relationship with the B. range from day one. Some of their make up I have found to be ok and others have just felt a bit cheap and haven't worked well at all on my face. I much prefer their skin care range to their make up. When it comes to their make up I have found things like eye/brow liners and mascara to be ok but perhaps not a brand to truly rave about. But maybe thats just me!? I did used to be a MAC girl prior to leading a cruelty free lifestyle so maybe my expectations will always be too high. Going back to the product, I already have this in my collection but I guess you can never really have too much black mascara in your drawer and I am now really well stocked up on it!

PHB Ethical Beauty Natural & Organic Black Eye Liner - I have yet to try this eye liner but I was really happy to see it included in this months Beauty Box as firstly I am a black eye liner kinda girl, and secondly this is a brand whose make up I haven't tried before so I am looking forward to giving it a go and also exploring the rest of their range.

Teabox Detox Complexion Tea - I've seen this brand advertised on social media but I haven't really paid much attention to them until now. And this is why I will always love subscription boxes because they introduce you to the brands you already love and are yet to try. This particular tea is meant to help with skin complaints such as acne or hormonal skin but fortunately for me this isn't something I ever have to contend with so perhaps it may be more worthwhile for me to consider other teas in the range. However, at roughly £1 a tea bag and £15 for the smallest box i'm not sure if this is something I will be buying into. I'm also not sure if three trial tea bags will be enough to convince me or for me to really notice any difference in my complexion. The tea itself tasted ok and not too fragrant, but again i'm not sure if I liked it enough to warrant it's price tag or for me to buy again.

So overall this was a pretty good box with my favourite item being the face mask and my least favourite would have to be the tea bags. I haven't had the time to give everything a proper trial run yet but hopefully this review gives you a pretty good overview of what to expect from a TVK Beauty Box. Aside from the tea bags in this months box, I am always impressed by the fact that TVK offer decent sized products within their boxes and not just small sample sizes. For me this ensures that the box remains great value for money.

Until next time!

  1. Have you smelled those face wipes yet? They smell just like Starbust! I haven't tried the face mask yet, but fully expect spots afterwards, I always do with detoxing masks. Fab post Sarah ☺

  2. I am yet to try out the Vegan Kind Beauty Box, but I've always wanted to! Maybe next time!
